A
low maintenance cat, American Shorthairs are
intelligent, playful, gentle, healthy and all around good natured.
People who have owned American Shorthairs in the past always want
another one in their home. A number of them have told me that their
cats will fetch and that their personality resembles a dog more than a
cat.

Kittens
that are to be neutered or spayed sell from $500 to $750
depending on the color and pattern. Except for the rare
silver patched tabby and white (which comes in female only)
they are $1,200. Breeding or Show cats are higher in price.
Young adults run $150 to $350 and older/retired adults
can be adopted from $50 to $150.
These cats/kittens have been raised indoors all their life and
therefore have no outdoor survival instincts. They will only be
placed into approved indoor only homes. Also they must never be declawed.

Lisa Violet's declaw
information page.
